Developers are really continually pushing boundaries with the iPhone. Our latest favorite music app is called Ocarina developed by Smule. The ocarina is an ancient instrument originating from thousands of years ago and is very easy to learn.

With the iPhone version of Ocarina you make sounds by using your breath and blowing into the mic. You change and play the notes with a combo of touching and holding the four circles on the screen. Ocarina is extremely sensitive to the breath which makes for a very accurate and easy playing experience.

Under the settings you may change the key and choose from many different modes including Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, Locrian and even a mode called Zeldarian which you can see being played in this great video demonstration.:
