Visual Metronome is a recent release by One More Muse and it looks to be very promising. As many of you know there are many metronomes available in the app store, some good, some bad, but none perfect. Visual Metronome is pretty close to being the best metronome we’ve ever used. It is very simple to use, the interface in uncluttered, and it is currently the only metronome in the app store that keeps accurate timing while your display is asleep.

A few really nice features include the ability to easily set the accent note placement on any 16th note. I love the large beat display so that, for example, everyone in the band can see it from the corner of their eye. Awesome! Also, we shouldn’t have to mention this with a metronome app, but Visual Metronome has great timing!! What a shocker! Believe it or not, many of the iPhone metronomes we’ve played with have really terrible timing. One More Muse has provided a detailed timing comparison chart so that you can also see the difference.
